When Missing Loved Ones Becomes a Lifestyle

I grew up missing people. My male parent was a company man — a corporate nomad — so when information technology came time to move once again, we packed up and went where the career opportunities led him.

"Tears in Heaven" and others are so poignant. The songs that touched my heart after losing loved ones may non fifty-fifty have been ones similar this, only ones that nosotros used to sing together or had other meanings. Time does heal the initial pain of losing loved ones, hard as that is to believe when we commencement lose loved ones.

As to your daughter, having a home base and long-lasting friendships, she is fortunate. Some families have no choice in the thing. I am thinking of war machine families, those who serve as diplomats, etc.

I never forgot, nor stopped loving my first girlfriend. We were together for half-dozen bright years. She couldn't survive a center attack seven years ago when she was all alone at dwelling.

I met my soulmate while living in Europe equally a teenager. We'd spend ours days dreaming well-nigh a future together. But, her family abruptly left the country and disappeared. The day I watched her board the airplane crying is amidst the worst days of my life.

We knew we'd probably never run across each other again and promised to always remember, and find each other in the next life.

In the years since, I've searched, merely never found whatsoever trace of her.

And, while my life went on, I've never forgotten her.

The song that always makes me cease and think near her and what could have been is "Who Wants to Live Forever" past Queen. Like in the song, we just weren't blighted to be together. But, we had our 1 sweet moment - our forever.
